so, i've recently decided (today) child number two definitely on hold for a bit...i still plan on number two and even liked the idea of the two close together-i know crazy. obviously, financially it's better to wait, and my body would certainly enjoy returning more to its natural state, but the idea of being pregnant again and having two crying babies just doesn't seem appealing...at all.
i've also noticed lately that most of my friends only have one child. granted i'm 'only 31'-i can't believe those words are coming out of my fingertips, when asked if planning on having another kid, there is not the expected enthusiastic response "of course, just not yet"-most people are just done. i have to wonder, is this a trend? have we become so busy that we don't have time for two kids? being a parent interrupts our life so much, we just can't fit another? is it our finances being that kids now need 50 new video games instead of a bat and ball to have fun? is it the economy or is this our own version of population control that we don't even realize?
